Arthur Strock is a founding charter member of the International Association for the Study of Dreams and writes the “Dreaming the Light of Insight” column for the well known “Dream Network” journal. He gives dream interpretation presentations for the general public and conducts workshops for educators and psychotherapists. Arthur also gives presentations at elementary schools where his light hearted manner results in delightful insights and life changing moments for the children and himself.
Arthur is known by many through his former column, “Dreams from the Stillpoint”, for the Stillpoint Institute website. He has introduced college and graduate students to dream work through his teaching as an assistant professor of psychology at Bloomfield College and the County College of Morris and as a presenter for the National Association of Social Workers in New Jersey. He has also presented at an International Association for the Study of Dreams Annual Conference in Hawaii and at the Whole Life Expo in New York City.
Currently he is writing accounts of dream sharing experiences for publication. Working as a dreamographer, he takes and discusses a person’s dream in a way that benefits the dreamer similar to the way a photographer enriches the lives of those he photographs. His work demonstrates how empty greetings such as, “Hi, how are you?” and momentary discussions of the weather can easily be replaced with unexpected greetings such as “How ya dreaming?” The resulting life enriching discussions lead to worthwhile, and heart warming connections between friends and strangers.
